The host of BronxTalk, the borough’s flagship talk show on BronxNet, since the program debuted in October 1994, he’s conducted more than 1,400 weekly editions of the program, including 90+ political debates, 100+ programs on education, and dozens of shows on Bronx crime and policing, youth, parks, healthcare, arts and culture, community issues, and more. He also hosts The Bronx Buzz on BronxNet, a weekly reporter’s roundtable that debuted in March 2016. The program now features journalists, reporters, and editors, as well as an array of artists and performers. He currently teaches a TV performance class in BronxNet’s education department and hosts the monthly Bronx Music Podcast.
He’s also been a producer of news and sports for WNBC-TV, and a producer on FOX Sports News. In May 2019, he was the creator and publisher of thisistheBronX, the borough’s “everything Bronx” web portal that provided daily news, events, and information.
Beginning his media career in 1976 as a radio disc jockey working at stations in Maryland and Delaware, he was a DJ at progressive rock station, WRNW in Briarcliff Manor, NY (1978-81), where he worked with and ultimately succeeded Howard Stern as program director. He was a late-night DJ at WDHA in Dover, NJ and has also done stints at WWRL, New York.
A proud alum of De Witt Clinton HS and Lehman College, he currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Van Cortlandt Park Alliance.
He is a lifelong Bronx resident and lives with his wife in Van Cortlandt Village. They have two adult children and one grandchild.
